One street. One owner.
Jin Ho came to me with two adjacent venues on Garwol-dong in Yongsan-gu — a wine bar and restaurant, and a pizza-and-beer bar. The brief was to give each its own distinct identity while keeping them from competing with each other in the same neighbourhood.
The result: Galwol St. Cellars leans into European refinement — understated type, warm tones, an identity built for a high-end wine and Italian dining crowd. The Black Whale Bar goes the other way entirely — bold, characterful, a whale-and-pizza concept with the personality to match.
