The Project
Betterway Systems, a Seoul-based print company, wanted to enter the Australian market under a completely new identity — separate from their existing Red Printing brand. I was brought in as Brand Development Lead to own the project end to end, leading a cross-functional team across design, marketing and SEO.
That meant developing the company name (Qmodo), designing the full brand identity, registering the business in Australia and trademarking the logo — work I could take on as an Australian citizen based in Seoul. Every line of English copy across the brand, website and marketing channels came from me.
From there I owned the full scope: UX, UI, art direction, e-commerce website build, SEO strategy and a custom intranet built for the Korean team. Over 1.5 years I ran Qmodo as its own operation — coordinating between developers, marketers and the Korean parent company to get a 200+ product platform ready for market.
The Australian launch was suspended when COVID-19 made cross-border fulfilment impossible. The work was later adapted for Red Printing Singapore, a sister brand — which remains live today.
